The course deals with adult medical emergencies which participants are taught of the basic principles of first aid. It is designed to meet the needs of the participants such as early identification of crucial signs and symptoms that warrants quick action. Fist aid skills would include management of victims with burns, seizure, bleeding, fractures, drowning, diabetic emergencies and many more. Participants would be also train with safety precaution in providing first aid treatment, such as incident assessment, risk assessment, prevention of infection transmission through the use of Personal Protective Equipments (PPE’s), and activation of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Moreover, the course allows the participants to be capable of providing Adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Management of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO), and dealing with victims with multiple injuries. A multiple choice evaluation exam will be utilized to test participant’s knowledge with a passing score of 80%..
